Thanks for the update. It can be helpful to have suspicions confirmed. So glad you could get her to a vet.

Did he show you how to do this? you have to do it slowly to keep from pushing it into their lungs. Maybe you could ask the vet if you could mix it into bread or something else she really likes that you know she would eat.Bought Minkie home from the vets today, she is showing signs of improvement which is a huge relief. She is still unwell as she is sleepy and withdrawn but so far hasn't fallen or dropped forward onto her neck like she did before she went to the vets. She is 'talking' to me again with her little squeaks, drinking more and even managed some peas tonight. Bella, my other duck, is most relieved to have her home and loudly expressed her delight upon seeing her. I sat on the floor with them both and Minkie got on my knee and fell asleep in my arms for a bit which was very sweet, I'm so relieved I just hope she continues to improve. Tomorrow has its own challenges as the vet has given me some liquid medicine and I have to give her 10ml every day, having never given a duck medicine I'm not sure how this will pan out but will have a go!
First time I gave a tablet I thought I'd be clever and put the tablet in one pea, in with a big handful of un-medicated peas. The duck hoovered up the lot and then spat out one pea - the one with the tablet.
