Hiya,
I’ve owned a couple of serama hens for about 3 months now. Last years hatched. They were absolutely fine until about a week or so ago one of my ladies started getting skinny, still eating and drinking and going docile at times. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Hi @Charliechicken90 :frow Welcome To BYC
How old is she? (how many months)
What are you feeding, including treats?
Photos of her poop?
Have you added new birds within the last 30 days?
So you've had her around 3 months - have you changed housing/bedding or feed - anything like that?

Is her crop empty in the morning before she eats/drinks?
Where do you keep her?
It's hard to tell in the photo but she looks quite pale, does she have access to the outdoors? Check her for lice/mites while you are examining her.

She’s lost weight and tbh I can’t feel much of her crop.
They’re on a crumble feed specifically for small hens. They have mashed banana and fresh fruit as treats. I’ve also tried porridge made with water. They’re in a large cage indoors near a window currently as after doing vast research we felt it was best until the warmer weather stays.
They have wood shavings and straw in a nest box. No change since we’ve had them. No idea on background, we brought them and was told they were last years hatchlings approx 6 months old. Many thanks

Vets was the last resort, if needs be then I shall take her to the vets. I’m not accustomed to Seramas so didn’t know if I was missing something simple ‍♀️ Thank you
