Hi this is my silkie hen Sookie, for a while she has had a bit of an eye infection. It started with a foamy liquid a bit like spit in her eyes and her head feathers all clumped together
It then went as picture below, a yellow crusty stuff a some swelling (picture to follow as having trouble uploading)
I went out and bought antibiotic eye drops and ordered some terramycin.
The eye drops seemed to help and the tarramycin made a big difference.
Last week i went out in morning and her head feathers had a sticky waxy/greasy type stuff clumping them further, so i gave her a wash and blowdry (she loved it)
Her eyes are now switching between spity type stuff and a thick viscous type liquid in them and most mornings are stuck shut
Her head tends to move to one side
She has no bad smells coming from her as has been mentioned on other sites
She is still eating and drinking quite happily
The other two in with her are perfectly happy and bright eyed
