Poorly Timed Surprise Vacation

My husband surprised me with a vacation and it’s during hatching day!

We have a house watcher who will care for everything but…

1. Give me assurance hatch day will be ok?
2. What do I tell a guy who is used to watching dogs?

My husband won’t let me cancel its too late for a refund.

How long after they hatch will you be back? Is the incubator automatic? If so, in what functions?

4/8 is hatch day
We are gone 4/7-4/10

If the sitter would be willing to move the chicks to a prepared brooder, that might be a good idea.

They should be fine left in the incubator couple days. They can go few days without food and water since they absorbed the yolk before hatching.
