Pop door in coop

Pop door opens into as predator-proof run as I could build. I never close the door except on the windy winter nights.

I'm a late riser and the birds are cranky if I let them out late so I'm working on a pully system to open the door. I'll be able to crank the door open from inside my house at a second floor bedroom window so the birds can get out and not have to wait for me to get dressed and ready for work before thay gain their freedom.

I've left the birds when they were young for up to 5 days unattended with plenty of feed in a hanging feeder and water in several waterers in the coop and out in the run. Now that they are laying and it is winter, my neighbor comes over and collects the eggs when I leave for a visit. They still have feed and water to last for my trip so he doesn't have to care for them but if the power ever went out and the water froze, I know I'd get a call.
