Solved Pop up to join newsletter is annoying

Most of the time I come to the site and I don't log in because I just want to read a post that a Google search happened to send me to. My browser doesn't save cookies so it doesn't save my login, thus every single time is the pop-up for the newsletter. Can you not?

I also dislike the "join our newsletter" thing! It really bothers me and sometimes I give up trying to log in because of it.

Sounds good. I have my browser set to clear everything every 24 hours which of course logs me out so the popup is mildly annoying when I'm trying to log back in again

Welp. I'm out. I won't be clicking in any link from Google to this forum anymore. It bugs the bejeezus outta me when I'm trying to read something then BAM! JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER for the millionth time. I'd rather read misinformation on Reddit than the popus on this site. (Yes, pop up is disabled, using the Brave browser)

Again, sorry you're having this problem, but if you:

1) Insist on blocking/deleting our way of detecting if we've shown you the newsletter-signup, and
2) Don't want to login (which also removes the signup)

... then there's unfortunately not much we can do.

We built the newsletter-signup using industry-standard browser features that were created to help people not see the same notices over and over... but if you block/clear them, then those tools/features can't do their job.
