PopCorn

I tried this when my birds were still babies and they didn't know what to do with it. I've been meaning to get out my air popper and try again. As long as there's no salt or butter on it popcorn is totally safe, and as you said, clean. If there is a fragment left behind (like any chicken would allow such a thing), it's also totally biodegradable.

We have regular popcorn parties here! My birds LOVE it!!!

I been giving the following treats to my flock :

1. Rice
2. oatmeal ( cooked and cooled )
3. Grits ( cooked and cooled )
4. bread
5. tomatoes ( mixed with lettuce , cucumbers , and bell pepper )

SO FAR so good , they love it all

Years ago when times were tough, my father got a part time job sweeping out the theatre after the movies. He collected up the spilled pop corn and they was chicken feed for our birds. Just another way to get by and survive.

I never thought about popcorn! I give mine stale bread, yogurt, and any leftover fruit or vegetables. They love corn on the cob and grape tomatoes.
