poppy seeds

I don't know if this is the right place to ask- I have poppy heads drying on the porch would the chickens get sick if they ate them??
I could move them if it would be a problem for the girls but they are where I can keep an eye on them to dry...

Don't waste them on the chickens! Grind the seeds and make Poppy Seed Roll out of them! My mom in law made the best poppy seed roll......much better than mine even tho I use her recipe.

I wouldn't feed them to the chickens I just wouldn't want them getting sick (hallucinate) I don't know if they have enough or any opium in the seeds to cause illness

Anyway I'd love that recipe Katy!
