Porcelain D’Uccle X Quail Belgian D’Anvers produced FRIZZLE chick?!?!

Any explanations? Here are the parents, and the frizzled chick.

Are you certain it was those two? The chick has yellow legs/feet. That cross should produce chicks with White/Slate legs/feet.

Also do you have frizzled bantams? The trait is dominant, & a parent must carry/show it in order to pass it on.

I don’t have frizzled bantams & these are two purebreds from different breeders. The only other possibility is that my bantam wheaten Ameraucana is the father, but not very likely.

My porcelain roo hatched from Mille Fleur parents, amongst all MF chicks.
