I was going to try to incubate and sell hatching eggs and chicks.
But why are they so porous? Is that what those spots are?
I offer oyster shell, I feed henhouse reserve the purple one, and 17% layer crumble both from Kalmbach and 5 grain scratch every other day (even days) and worms on Wednesday and days they are particularly cute or need coaxing inside or convincing that they are starving to death.
I have grazing boxes and I throw in my yard trimmings and all my scraps.
I like to think they have a good life for enclosed run hens I wish I had an acre to give them but… I made due with what I had.
I incubated 9 and 4 lived.
