porter's sweetgrass order

would like like to know if anyone have placed an order for some sweetgrass turkeys from porter for this year ?

We have Blacks, Narragansett and Jersey Buff poults on order from Porter's.

I have an order in for several varieties, but not Sweetgrass. Why do you ask?

Got some sweetgrass eggs from him last year and hatched 7 out of 14. Not bad when shipped from IN to TX in July heat.

Edited since it looks like my complaint is from an over zealous spam filter. I don't want to blame someone for something that they can't control.

I have seen some stock that was purchased from Porters and they are nice birds.

Most NPIP farms are closed to ALL vistitors. But I am sure you can make an arrangements. This is any hatchery's busiest time of year. Porters is a small hatchery. He is also not on BYC. kevin has been real good about answering my emails. Try him via email. If you can't pick up at the farm, maybe he can meet you at his post office the day he is to ship them. Most likely he will be shipping other orders that day. Just email him and I am sure he will work something out with you.

Meeting him isn't a problem I don't like people in my backyard unless I know they have not been around other poultry.(city girl friends that don't go into the dirty country lol)

I agree with Jim as Mr. Porter does answer his emails... just pop another to him and give it a few days to respond.
