I would leave your chickens cooped up in their run unless you are home.

hi,
Keep in mind your breed of dog is a site hunter...it is to much to expect it not to follow it's nature.
One of my hunting dogs chased my chicken and killed it by landing on it's back with both feet.

I will not let my dog out with the chickens. Guess the girls will be out when I am with them... and build a bigger covered run in the spring. They are just so happy eating up the grass, bugs and leaves. Tails couldn't get much higher.
