This is Petrie. We are currently not 100% on the sex, but we wanted to start looking for new homes earlier rather than later should Petrie turn out to be a roo. We have had several offers from friends to make soup... But given our attachment to the little bugger we would rather he go to a home that won't eat him on the spot. If it turns out Petrie is a she, we want to keep her, but if Petrie starts crowing, is anyone in need of a silver laced roo?

Given the behavior Petrie is exhibiting ( mainly taking care of his lady) I am increasingly certain he is indeed a he. I really want top find him a home where he can 1) live, and 2) take care of some other ladies. Anyone?

Did you have any luck finding him a home? I'm in Portland & need to find a home for my 4 month old brown leghorn. He's a beaut! Want to give him to someone that isn't going to just cull & eat...

I think I have a home for him. Is contacted by a nice elderly couple who really wanted my roo. Unfortunately for them, I had already promised him to someone. If tiu still have him, I would be happy to call the people and forward your info. They would be absolutely thrilled I'm sure. I told the woman that I would keep my eyes open for roos of that age. Let me know and I'll make the call.

Also, I am heading out to deliver my guy to his new home tomorrow afternoon. If I'm not mistaken, the other couple lives close to where I'm going. That said, if you act fast, it's possible I can deliver your guy at the same time (cause it's kinda far). Let me know. Either way I'm pretty sure there is a home with at least 5 hens which would be happy for the addition of your guy.

Thanks for getting back to me! I found him a home yesterday & dropped him off this evening. There's a fella in Oregon City who's a real bird lover. Felt really good leaving him there.
