have two rescued battery chickens habe had them 5 years or so ... one of them seems to be relying on the other and maybe cant see any more. They haven't been sick but I've built a deck near their enclosure and wonder if something had happened... she hasn't been injured either... she is half the weight of my other chook. She feeds from her feeder on pellets and i give them layer mash etc but seems depressed!! They don't have a lot of grass at the moment but i bring grass in ... should i take her to the vet? Any ideas would be great

Is she able to find food/water? I've had a couple of blind ones, including one with only one eye. When one of our girls started to lose her sight, she initially was relying on the others and sticking with them, but eventually started to get more and more nervous the more her vision went until we moved her to a separate area

Hi
After you separated her, how did she do?
Did she find her own food & water?
Thanks :)
