That looks like a few different possible breeds to me. Like barred rock, black Australorp, or even possibly black silkie . However the last ones unlikely. As for the gender that's up in the air at that age. You should be asking the question at around 7-9 weeks

Silkies have crests, fibro skin, 5 toes, sometimes a beard, and feathered legs. Black australorp have slate legs. So it's neither of those. I'm taking a small break from barred birds (although I do have a small suspicion that the white markings we see might clear up with age) but nonetheless, let's tag some experts. @JedJackson @RoostersAreAwesome @BastyPutt @Party_Chicken @SilverBirds @JacinLarkwell

I said I'd refrain from taking any guesses. Well, I lied. Considering the lack of barring in the down, and the seemingly all but one black feathers, I'm going to guess that this is another, dare I say successful (not intentionally) mix of mixes. At best, this is a mix that will really resemble a Barred Rock. We've got a lot of those here

Yeah, like I thought my hen Susan was a super crazy mix that resembles a barred rock but in reality she's just a French Cuckoo Maran with a yellow tint.
