Possible breeding program

I'm also working on a Landrace Breed. Calling mine Chameleons due to a color changing trait. The base is Easter Egger/Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Buff Orpington/Australorp. Planning on adding in Blue Face Hatch, & Malay into the mix for an added survival, & predator savvy instincts for the free range environment.

Yep. Thinking it'll make an interesting variety of chicken.
I've got her mother that's also got the same trait.

Hen posted, she's Easter Egger X Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Buff Orpington/Australorp.

The mother I mentioned is a Cuckoo Easter Egger.

So she is the whole mix. That makes sense. Have you crossed any of the sons to unrelated hens to see how the trait works out genetically? Or am I getting ahead of myself?

I haven't crossed them yet, but will eventually.
