Possible bumble foot?

So I have a bantam Cochin who is limping. I’ve checked her feet and I’m thinking she might possibly have bumblefoot (pictures below) on her right foot. The crazy thing is yesterday morning she was favoring the other foot big time but that one seems fine. Like she is barely putting any weight on the foot that looks ok and supporting herself on the one that looks like it’s got bumble foot. I’ve been soaking in warm water with Epsom salts for just over 24 hours. Any thoughts or advice?

Yes that looks like the beginning of a problem. You can try a topical antibiotic that kills staph, then cover with a gauze pad and wrap. Maybe that'll head it off at the pass.

I just wish I knew why she was putting her weight on the one that looks bad and not putting weight on the other foot

Bumblefoot frequently starts with a nick or small cut to a footpad. I would soak her foot in warm Epsom salts water and keep an eye on it. Betadine is good to put on it.
