Hello!

I have 10 weeks old pullets as well as some older hens but we keep them separate still. I have one of my 10 weeks pullets that started becoming very weak. She is constantly sleeping or closing her eyes while standing. She eats and drinks a little but not much compared to the other girls. She has has pretty watery droppings but not bloody. I have noticed she was shaking a little yesterday and today she is shaking her head. I have read thees are all signs of coccidiosis. I found some Corrid at my tractor supply store but it says it for bovine but lost of people comment saying they use it for their chickens. Can you guys confirm if this is ok for them? It is sunday and there are not vets open and i am not sure I even have a vet nearby that would take care of chickens since I live in the city. I want to get this in her today if I can. Durvet 40110 Corid 9.6% Oral Solution Coccidiostat is what the label says.

Please help!!

Yes it is okay to use that Corid. Dosage is 2 tsp or 10 ml mixed into each gallon of water for 5-7 days. You may also want to give her 0.5 ml orally twice a day as a boost for a couple of days. Make sure that she is drinking well, or give it with a dropper. A picture of her of her poops is welcome. Good luck.

Is there anything else I can do? I’m fearing we are too late. She keeps falling to one side. I can get her to drink if I put her beak in the water and I also gave her 0.5ml of the corid via syringe. She won’t eat her food even if I mash it with water. I will attach a photo of her poo if she doesn’t it soon.

Here is her most recent poo
