Hello.
Recently my chicks were born. I took them when they were 2-3 days old. I noticed my one chick has been getting poop stuck around her vent, however some of this poop has been orange and stringy. Google is saying it could be coccidosis, but also shedding of intestinal lining. This chick seems fine aside from that, she’s running around in the brooder, as well as eating and drinking fine, and eating from my hand. She doesn’t seem sick but I also read it takes coccidosis 4-8 days to spread. What do you think I should do? I know it’s treatable but we’re also about to go on vacation. We’ll have. Caretaker for them, but I’d like to refrain from having our caretaker having to treat them. Can shedding of intestinal lining be one after the other sometimes, or is it once every few turds? Thank you in advance

Sorry I didn’t take a photo. This is after I wiped her though. She was outside the other day, but I’m not sure if that would Cary

into today’s poo. I’m sure she ate some grass.

Ok, so the green could be grass.

As far as the stringy orange stuff, that sounds like intestinal lining but it shouldn't be getting stuck all over the chick. Very unlikely to be coccidiosis this early on and an affected chick would be lethargic, maybe with eyes closed and puffed up. But if you see any more of it, try to snap some photos (preferably on the ground or on a clean white background like a paper towel)
