So, with the Vitamin E and the Poly-Vi-Sol, Thoth's head IS straightening, even though it's only been a day and a half. But with it straightening, I've noticed weird things. Is head seems a bit... deformed. If it is, that's fine, as long as it's not causing him any pain or anything. He was only $5 anyways, so I'm not going to be upset that he's not totally up to standard. I don't think any of my WH ducklings are, to be honest.

Anyways, since I can't quite describe it, here are some pictures.

I hatched a batch of cayugas last year. I had one that never made it out of the egg. When I opened it up to see, it had a deformed bill (thus explaining why it didn't make it out). The bill was skinny, and looked like the sides never even grew, or almost like a chunk was taken out of each side of the bill. It was sad, but that's how mother nature works.
As long as yours is eating and drinking without problems, he should be ok. Ducks are surprisingly tolerant of many injuries and deformities! But if your duckling hatched like that then I would NOT suggest using him for breeding if that's something you want to do later on down the road. If genetic, then it can certainly pass on to the offspring

I have no intention to breed. When/if I decide to breed, it will be from awesome lines, like Holderread or Metzer.
