My hen recently got into a fight with my rooster. We have cleaned her up and everything. I made a post a few days ago. Now my hen is drinking lots of water but showing a low interest in food and has a slime like saliva coming from her mouth. It's not enough to be dripping from her mouth but is enough to be sitting on her beak. I've just realised she's also been holding up one of her feet as well. She's already been isolated from the flock. Does she have a disease? If so what can I do to help her.
Cheers

How recently was this fight with the rooster? Do you know what started it? It does not sound like a disease but more like possible injuries from the fight. Have you looked her over real well for any wounds or bruising? Chickens bruise green. Look on her body under her wings. Check her legs real good. Part her feathers and look her over carefully. Look in her mouth.

She was in the fight 2 days ago she has a few cuts on her face which I have cleaned up and have been monitoring her she is becoming more active she does have a sore wing where she has some bruising by the bone but that was from our rooster. What had happened was she got trapped up and my rooster was what I suspect trying to help her as he has never been aggressive to me or the hens. I haven't yet looked in her mouth I can do that now and when I check her legs they look all good is there anything I should be looking for on her legs specifically? Thanks for the help

Well if she's holding one leg up that probably means it hurts. If you have room I'd recommend putting her in a wire dog crate in the coop for a few days. That way she's still part of the flock but can rest that leg. Give her her regular food but wet it good and see if she will eat it that way. Make a fresh batch every day. You can also offer her scrambled or boiled egg (no salt or butter). Be sure she has clean water and grit and something to perch on. Keep an eye on her and see how she goes.

Thank you I will see how she goes
