I have a EE who is holding her head sideways/upside down. She eats good and acts fine aside from her head being side ways. My husband said her ear seems swollen. Not sure what to do for her.. Any advice appreciated

Better take care of it right away...I regret not being agressive when my Georgie got an ear infection...

Get some batril...you can get it at twincitypoultry...

I got some Amoxicillin and Otomax from FirstStateVetSupply...if it isn't too bad, this should help..

yes sunshinesilkies is right treat this right away!! i had a duck with problematic ear infections.... almost 100% of the time thier holding thier heads sideways it means an ear infection.
they hold thier head this way because they feel off balance, because they really are. treat with ear drops and or antibiotics asap. bring her to a vet if you can afford it, the stronger of meds the better as they can come back if not properly treated. good luck

My Sister Said She Has Amoxicillin That They Gave My Neice For Her Ear Infection It Is A Liquid You Drink. 250mg. 1tsp 3x A Day Can I Use That?

im not sure if its ok to use that, its been about 8 years since i treated my duck for ear infection. hows your chicken? sorry i couldnt be of more help, hopefully someone else can help with this little bump up the list!
