If you are not sure it's worms, then I would see if you can get a fecal float test done, it's not usually very expensive if you have a vet that will do it for you. That way you don't treat unneccessarily, and you will know for sure what you are treating for and make sure to use the best medication and dosing for it. In general the wormer should not hurt them if they are healthy, if a bird was weak and sick with something else then the treatment could possibly be too hard on them. Why do you think worms are an issue?
okay, a good friend of mine is a vet tech. So I’ll check and see if that’s something they can do. I mainly just want to rule out everything and I just kept reading that worms can cause a lot of issues. And we recently treated our dog for worms who loves to eat the chicken poop, and our vet island it could likely have come from him eating it. And we lost 3 girls during this quarantine time, all slightly different ways. But mainly I just want to rule them our if possible. No other chickens are showing any illness.
new let her out into the yard with the other chickens yesterday, and she walked fine, was able to fluff out her wings and feathers, she did periodically tuck her bum down, and was a tad off balance. I think it may be ceolomitis though after doing more research.
