Yeah, I found that 2 nests weren't enough for my first Flock of 5 Golden Comets.
When I remodeled the coop for my 5 ISA Browns, I hung the nests outside the coop and made 3 nests available with the potential to expand one of them into a double size.
3 nests were frequently occupied and now with 4 hens left 3 nests are occasionally occupied. GC
