Possible infection help....

I was able to get an answer back from one of my go-to-people last night. Looks like I was correct in telling you what this could be, or at least one of the things. Take her to the Vet if you can. She needs antibiotic, as I told you and unfortunately, you can't just buy it, like we can here. the other option is culling her in case it turns out to be one of the respiratory diseases like MG, IB or Coryza. These will infect your whole flock and once they have it, it's for life. Yes they can get better, but will be carriers of it forever. This means any new birds added later will get this as well.

Me? I would take her to the Vet and find out what it is first and then make the decision on the next step. Good luck and please keep this thread up to date.

What antibiotics do *you* have? If you don't have any, check with your local feed store and see what they sell to livestock farmers. If you can't find anything there, try to buy some tropical fish antibiotics like "Fish-Flex" (Cephalexin 250mg).

Thank-you Casportpony. I am lost when it comes to the UK and obtaining drugs.

Thank you both. Ill check with my local chicken breeders and feed store first and if not ill take her to the vets. I will keep you all posted, thanks again for help and advice. X
