Generally for our fair which is in August the kids need to be on the ground by Mid February & January kids are preferred. Don't you have any breeders around there? Like ()relics said a Boer or percentage Boer is a better bet. The dairy crosses often start out quick and kind of plateau. Even better would be if you could find a Kiko cross.
