Oh, you also have to be careful about where you get the product. I do not think the company stands behind their product if it is purchased anywhere besides thru a veterinarian. A few years ago there were issues with people counterfeiting the products and we had reps coming around showing us how to identify product that was counterfeit.

If your birds do have mites or lice, after treating them feed your chickens dry cat food for the extra protein. This will help grow the feathers back faster. I currently have two in the house right now going through this treatmet. Good luck.

Opps I meant to ask...mites. I will check the vents but does it look like dandruff on a black hen? I have Bar rocks about 10-12 weeks old and I was handleing the hens yesterday and notice because they are dark that one had little flakes likes dandruff. No alot but I was just wondering.
