I feel like playing around with my breeding pens for the spring but genetics is not my strong suit. What would the possible resulting offspring of a black magpie crossed with a white be? This would be call ducks but I would think standard magpies and pekins would be about the same.

This is what I got on the genetics calculator

Female
M+M+ Li+Li+ Ee+ bl+bl+ C+c B+B+ Rr+ D+- Bu+-
Gender = Female, Ratio = 1/2 = 50%, minimum of animals to breed: 2
zwart eenkleurig eksterbont | black self magpied

Male
M+M+ Li+Li+ Ee+ bl+bl+ C+c B+B+ Rr+ D+D+ Bu+Bu+
Gender = Male, Ratio = 1/2 = 50%, minimum of animals to breed: 2
zwart eenkleurig eksterbont | black self magpied

Thanks, it will be interesting to see if that works! My punnett diagram has the F2 generation being 1 white, 1 magpie and 2 mutts but I am thinking because of the patterns that go into magpie (pied and bibbed) and the fact that the whites carry a hidden black it might be more like 1 white, 1 black and 2 magpie/ancona something else mutts. I can't wait to try it though!
