My 8 week old chicks were out doing a little free ranging yesterday. Several of them found a spot in a flower bed for a dust bath. After they all got up, one of my EEs was stumbling around, squatting and making a panicky type of sound. I had watched every move they made so I know she didn't eat something dangerous or anything.
After a minute or so of this odd behavior, she pooped and then she went back to normal. The poop looked normal but had alot of dirt in it. She was absolutely fine after this.
Is it possible she got a bunch of dirt in her vent that temporarily plugged her up?
