im glad she made it through the night! it would best to continue her charcoal flush for another 3-4 doses or so. i wouldn't extend the flush any longer than into this afternoon; they can be very dehydrating and deplete her a bit as it is sweeping everything out of her, including nutrients from her food and electrolytes. scrambled eggs, warm wet mash of her staple feed, and a vitamin/nutrient solution like NutriDrench or Poultry Cell would be best following her flush. i've heard NutriDrench in particular is best suited for high stress or ill birds but Poultry Cell will also work if NutriDrench is unavailable. TSC also often carries premade electrolyte mixes for chickens, otherwise you can continue the mix you've prepared at home. im rooting for you and your girl!Update for the morning. She’s still alive, still upside down. I gave her another dose of the charcoal flush, about 8 mLs. She had some more electrolyte water and pecked once at her food.
I’ll just keep up with the flushes and food and water. Hopefully she improves soon :/
Ok, thanks! I’m going to do another flush right now. She gobbled up a bunch of scrambled eggs which was heartening. I’ll make sure she stays hydrated!
