I have a Cornish Rock, Iris, who has been having pooping issues. She had what seemed like a hard chunk of poop stuck inside of her bum and whenever she tried to poop she was making high pitched chirping noises. It sounded like she was in pain. I tried olive oil to fix it (to help it slip out easier) because I found that as a suggestion while searching this site.
It didn't work so I talked to a local farmer and he suggested I change the food (mix it with the old food for a while first y'know) and put probiotics in the water and she would get better..
Well, she improved a ton and was pooping slowly but surely and even started to poop without the high pitched chirping for a little while... and then suddenly, only a day later, her bum seems not really that swollen (definitely not like before), but sticking out??
Her bum is constantly "moving" (opening/closing) and whenever she tries to poop only liquid comes out. Her chirping when she tries is so loud that I can hear it in my room (above the garage, and they are in the garage) so I think she's in pain
When I described all of this to someone else, they suggested prolapsed anus... is that what this is? I love this little meaty but I don't want her to suffer.
