When I candle one of the eggs today, I didn't see any movement inside the egg. So, I cracked the part on the air cell of the egg, to see if the fully developed chick is still alive. It pipped internally, but it is no longer moving. I am sure, that it is moving yesterday, when I candled it. However, when I went back to the nest, the mother hen is outside of the nest along with her less than 1 day old chick, and incubating another chicken's egg, who laid a new egg that is very close to her nest. Definitely, the egg, didn't receive ideal temperature for hatching eggs, for no more than 24 hours. I think 9 to15 hours is a better estimate. I doubt, that it died, because it is left in an environment, where temperature is between 75 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit. My chicken's less than 2 day old chicken embryo can survive in that temperature for about 11 hours for 2 consecutive days. I don't think that it drowned either, since mother hen, knows how to control humidity, and the other chick successfully hatched today.
