So I suspect I have 3 males. I'm not sure, I'm new to BYC. I brought them home Monday; however, their behavior has changed through the past day. Two of them seem to be fighting, they haven't attacked each other that I've seen, but go head to head with feathers all out etc. And one keeps chasing a female pullet(is that what you call them?) they are 6 mos on the 25th. Curious if this is normal or are they bored?? The female I'm referring to when allowed out to free range, constantly finds a place to sit down after a few mins. None of the others do that either. Wondered if she is close to laying, why a roo(or cockerel?) would chase?

How many chickens are in your flock total? You say you suspect 3 roos...pictures please! If you're correct in that you have 3 roos, you should have around 30 hens for that many roos!!

Yes!! I have 8!!! I know that's 3 too many. I don't want any. They were given to us, so just took them since she wasn't sure. And I'm not either. Let me snap some pics.

Well, poo. It's not letting me upload them. I'll try later

Ok! Here it is. This is the one that does the chasing.

Ugh. I knew it!!!! See, my husband didn't think I knew what I was talking about! lol still having issues getting the white chick to load. I'll keep trying. It has the yellow feet of a JG, but I'm not 100% if that's what she/he is.

Should I wait until they are 8-9 mos or go ahead and butcher? Is that what cull means?
