Possible roos? (pics)

First off I want to say I know pretty much squat about gendering chickens, but over the last week or so, I have been visiting people who have chickens, I visted a man the other day who only had EEs and barred rocks all seperated, and he had 5 and 6 week old chicks. He had them gender seperated and there was at least 2 chicks in the EE pullet greenhouse that looked exactly like the one in the first picture. My first thought after my visit then seeing the post was pullet. However, I am no expert, I am not even mediocre:) So if it were me, I would go with what the majority thought:)

The second chick however looks obviously like a roo to me.

Thanks for the input, but I honestly am just gonna wait to decide on the gender til I hear one of them crow, or lay an egg. I have heard countless stories about people who were getting ready to give away their "roo", and then to have it lay an egg and turns out it was just a manly hen. so thanks, but if any of them are roos I'll probably have to get some chicken diapers and house them in my basement. I love them too much to give away.

Ok, that was my sister giving bad input. Luna, they would be very unhappy in our basement, it is musky and gross, if they are roos we will be giving them to a vegan farm

I'm not sold on that first one being a roo but then, I'm wondering if that's the same bebe you've posted about before? Well, I'd hold out another week or 2 before thinking about re-homing. The 2nd one though, I must say, is def a roo imho. Good luck!

well im going on vacation for a week, i'll know for sure when i get back!

Look at number ones feathers around the base of the neck and at the tail area see the feathers are coming in at a point that shows rooster why they are the hackle feathers and saddles feathers. The first one does say rooster to me. EE's are usually harder to tell rooster but I still say roo. Just keep an eye on the feathers and if they are pointy then it say rooster

the feathers aren't exactly pointy, they have a pointed design on them however which tricks you into thinking they are. well i'm going to the airport in half n hour, I'll know who's a roo when i get back
