I noticed today that one of my 1 year old Buff Orpington's was just not acting like herself. She was off by herself instead of staying with the flock. Her comb looks a dull pink and she seems to stand still and stare off into space for a while before she slowly moves around. She would eat meal worms that I tossed to her, but very slowly. She barely got 2 before the rest of the girls gobbled them up all around her. I just feel like she's off, but I have no idea what it could be.

We did only get 4 eggs today and we have 5 hens so I thought maybe she could be egg bound. I rubbed a bit of olive oil on her vent just in case, but not sure what else to do.

Any ideas? What should I check for and how should I check for it?

Thanks!

I agree that she might be eggbound. Put her in a container of warm water up to her sides and gently massage her underside front to rear for 20 minutes while she's soaking. The warm water will expand her innards and the massaging will help encourage her move the egg along if that's what it is.
Also visually inspect her for lice/mites and consider worming her as well as your other birds if you havnt done so.

I have never wormed my flock. How do I do that? Do I need to toss their eggs? If so for how long? Thank you for your help.
