Possible splayed leg chick

You can leave it on medicated or not, but regardless what I'd do is get a bottle of Poultry Cell or Nutri-Drench. Using an eye dropper, put a drop to it's right side of its beak. Let it swallow and give another one, up to three being sure it's swallowed before giving it another. Only give plain water after that.

If you have any B-complex, that may help as well. A chick could have 1/4 of one per day.

I've never heard of the pea mash except for ducks. A chick needs its chick crumbles mostly, which can be made into a mash with water, and usually is a hit with the chicks.

Your wife's an angel to work with it. A little physical therapy of sorts should help too, but the balance issue sounds to me like a vitamin deficiency.

Can you get a video of it? If so, post that either in our gallery (tab above) or on YouTube, then paste the link back here.

I'll see what I can do for a video.

Peas were a local recommendation. We tried some egg on another recommendation. Little Derpy LOVED the egg. I think she ate about her body weight in egg! She hasn't eaten that much in the past couple days.
