Possible to free range meat birds with egg layers?

If you're looking to do CX type of bird, I can recommend the Freedom Ranger Hatchery White Rangers. They are extremely similar to CX with better livability, and still get huge.

I've heard the CX roosters get mean upon maturity, but mine never are allowed to live that long. My remaining White Ranger roo is nice, or he's too big and slow to give me much trouble even if he wanted to. One or the other, but he's been nice as far as I can tell.
Thank you! I'll look into White Rangers, I had these recommended by a FB group as well. I plan on eating everyone and butchering before bird puberty, so we shouldn't get too much sass! Best laid plans...my husband's biggest concern is I'm going to fall in love with a meat bird and we'll end up with a Ranger roo. It's a real risk. 🤣
