Hey There All!
I am a newbie to game birds, and received three adult Bobwhite males a few days ago. I just noticed a dark, what appears to be tumor, on one of their feet. I captured him, examined him, and soaked his foot in hydrogen pyroxide, but I have to say that it looks like a malignant tumor to me. He is eating, drinking, walking, acting healthy, and his feces is normal. The foot does not seem to hurt, but I did see him examining that foot a few times. Obviously, it's late Saturday night, so I cannot take him to anyone until Monday. Not even sure if we have game bird avian vets here, but nothing to do until the week begins. In the mean time, I am attaching a photo (hopefully), and would really appreciate information from anyone who might recognize what this is, or tell me if there is anything I can do for him. Thanks so much for your help!
