what is this ?! it is only getting bigger it looks like a wart. in this picture another chicken just bit the skin off it again.

The only thing I can think of is dry pox...but he doesn't look nearly as bad as most cases that I've seen so I doubt that's it.

[Edit] I give up diagnosing anything - I can own (and probably do) all the chicken books on the planet but it's no comparison to people who have had chickens forever.

That is called a "side sprig." It happens.
In show chickens, it is a DQ. In BYC, it is just an oddity.
