One of my chickens developed wry neck a day or so ago. Typical head turned upside down. I of course separated her and started her on selenium and the vitamin water and fed her some scrambled eggs. She seemed to start getting better, even to the point where she was holding her head up straight and took off running, but her poop scared me. It was a little bright green. From that point she seemed to start going down hill. Right before I went to bed I gave her another dose of the water, selenium and tried getting some food in her but really couldn’t. But again, she pooped a weird poop.
Fast forward to this morning, she was breathing super heavy and was on her back struggling. I had my husband cull her as I didn’t want her suffering.
I’m in panic mode that it could have been Newcastle’s disease and I’m scared for the remainder of my flock. Everyone else seems fine at the moment but I’m a little bit of a hypochondriac and panic has set in.
Going to attach pictures of the poop!
