So far they're still in Louisville, Kentucky, but I got a text update that they're still expected to arrive tomorrow

Day 17 Candling of Black Tailed Red Marans and Crele Penedesencas
Prepare for a bit of a jolt . . . I dropped an egg while candling, but it wasn't developing . . .if it had been I'd be crying rivers right now!

Day 17 Candling of Buff Orpingtons and Lavender Ameraucana
All 9 are developing!!!

Lockdown has begun
The two Black Tailed Red Marans eggs are each in their own hatching bag. They look similar to Buff Orpingtons at hatch and I don't want to get them mixed up. When they hatch they'll get leg bands so I can tell to the two breeds apart without guessing.

The cream legbar eggs arrived well packed, but they're so cold IDK if they'll hatch

I will be anxious to see how they do - I feel like cold eggs have a much better chance than hot eggs. I would much rather have eggs shipped in the winter than the middle of summer.

They came down to room temperature quicker than I expected and were well packed with lots of memory foam type material. Hopefully it was only the shells that were cold.
