Was sold this little lady/man as an Orpington but have thought pretty much from day one they're something different. Marking on wings are tawny.
And from the behaviour (bossy, picking fights, very confident and inquisitive, standing tall and being chatty) as well as the comb growing faster than the other chick I bought at the same time from the same clutch of eggs (supposedly), I'm thinking rooster. Thoughts? This is the first time I've had chooks, help! Haha

Classic Orpington gender reveal. Boys normally start showing around at the age of 2 & half weeks of age.
My boy for example.

Here he is at 8 weeks of age.

I thought I might have a boy on my hands. I thought maybe the two dots by his eyes and colouring might be a bit of legbar? Or am I completely off track with that one

I'm thinking he's mixed with Rhode Island red due to the spots, & feather pattern.
Here's a Rhode Island Red chick from the internet.
