About 2 1/2 weeks ago one of my Nankin
hens started sitting in her nesting
box all day and night. Although nankins are VERY broody birds I am almost 100% sure it's not because she
is not protective, she does not have
any eggs and I noticed when one of my
Mille Fleur hens was broody she left
big amounts of poop in one spot (If
that makes sense.) and she isn't. She
was born on May 3 this year so she not even a year old yet. I have noticed a bit
of weight loss compared to her sister.
I have recently moved her into the
downstairs of her coop with her sister
which gives her more light and room.

If you have any suggestions on what it
could possibly be please feel free to
reply.

I forgot to mention her feces
look fairly normal ( maybe
a bit on the dry side) It is
difficult to get her to eat
but I can usually get her to.
Otherwise she seems fairly
healthy she is prening her
feathers as normal and she
seems fairly perky, but I am
concerned about her weight
loss.
