possum got into the pen, the chicken is walks around but something doesn't seem right

she lays on her side, she can walk but almost seems like she's losing her balance. I checked her over and aside from torn out small feathers I didn't see any blood or wounds.

She is most likely suffering from great stress from the attack. I would separate her in her own dog crate, but leave her in the coop with the rest of the flock. She needs time to heal. Keep water and feed nearby...best of luck!

Regarding the possum...have you fixed the problem? Have you discovered how it got in? The reason I ask is because once they have a taste of "dinner" trust me...they'll be back!!!

every year about this time we set out a trap with some feed in it, always catch either a coon or possum and take care of it. Usually don't have much of a problem with it after that but I was a little bit late on putting out the trap this year
