Well something has been scaring my chickens at night on a regular basis, but the are very secure in their coop. But that didn't stop the rooster from crowing at 2 or 3 in the morning. i got up this morning to find a dead possum in the steet right near the front of out house. I do live in a rural area but live on a fairly busy street. I also heard a thump last night and got up to look but couldn't see anything. I guess I'll be ok for a while till his family comes looking for him. I am just glad he's gone.

Yay - except your pest was humanely disposed of in a different way than the 2 I found living in my barn - I didn't poison or live trap them but it was quick and my chickens are happier today!

Uggggh - they are nasty and ugly!

Night before last my dogs were carrying on something awful. Late in the morning, I began to smell that smell. You know. The Dead Smell.

I looked and looked but didn't find anything. I didn't find it until late that evening when I went to feed the dogs. They had killed a possum for me. I just wish I had found it before it spent the day in the hot Texas sun.
