Possum threat

We have a good share of possums, too - and also use the live traps. We are typically the most successful with catching them on wet canned cat food and/or meat scraps from the kitchen. Good luck!

I suggest dry cat food. Strange as that may seem, I am constantly shewing opossums out of my shed where my cats eat. I'll walk in there at night and my cats and opossums are eating side by side. They seem to love the dry cat food. It appears to work for raccoons as well as they are sometimes in the shed eating it as well, although the cats don't bond as well with them;-)

I think your boyfriend should do the possum stomping and you just applaud and tell him what a good boy he has been.
