a possum just killed 4 maybe 5 of my little ones. the broody box is on the front porch. my hen is ok and i know at least 7 of the 12 she had are ok. i recovered 3 bodies and the possum ran off with the 4th. set the trap with the bodies. hope to eliminate this problem by the morning.

I have caught quite a few possums with a havahart 1089 trap. I think it is all about the location of the trap,because sometimes I never baited! Good luck and sorry for the loss.

You should put cat food in the trap also, good luck.

I agree with the above posts - Mr. Possum will be back. They are suckers for dog and cat food. Hope you catch the bandit.
