Post Deworming

I found worms in the chicken's feces and have given them Ivermectin and am now wondering what I need to do to clean the coop and run so they don't just pick up the worms again.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure either. Maybe clear the chickens out of there and bleach the daylights out of their coop and wherever else those worms might be? I did that once and although the bleach didn't do wonders for the poor birdies, they haven't had worms since. Although in hindsight, Pine-Sol would be better than bleach.

Yeah, I agree with bleaching the coop? But what about the run? especially if that's where the got worms in the first place?

I am thinking a good cleaning like was already mentioned and some human food grade DE sprinkled in their run and coop.

Sprinkling Human Food Grade DE will be a natural worm protectant for long term. I am not familiar with any run cleaning methods other than replacing the top soil with sand. But worms are a natural part of life if you let your chickens outside to range. Many deworm their chickens once or twice a year. Others just use DE on a regular basis. Feeding chopped pumpkin seeds help also. Other natural methods are used too, which I am not familiar with.

Just brear in mind that food-grade DE will not remove worms, but will help keep them at bay; so, IMO, it's excellent to use post-worming as an infestation precaution.

I've been thinking on the question of what to do in the run, and the only thing I can come up with that's 100% safe is Oxine solution sprayed on the soil. However, I don't know what the effects are on worms. Oxine solution is used to kill all sorts of bacteria (and even kills the Marek's virus). I'm not convinced it's a great idea to kill all the worms, either..they're a natural part of the environment.
