Who the heck came up with these things!!!un I know they make it "easier" but come on!!

I'm putting up my new pen this weekend. 5 posts later(13 more to go....

) and I'm ready to drive to PA and get some dynamite!!!

We have one with augery type flanges that you can twist and it helps with the hole digging.

We actually went and bought an auger last year for this very reason. They are wonderful. We did 35 post holes this morning in about an hour and 15 minutes.

You could probably rent one local for maybe $20 or $30. Our local rental place rents them for the weekend for $29.99 and you supply your own fuel.

Well at least I'm not alone. I did a marathon session and did 7 in about 30 minutes. My arms, jello.

At least I can have a break when I use a crowbar to pry out the 5 or 6 fist sized rocks I find in each hole! Gotta love it!!! I'll have a beer, look some more at BYC and head back out to do the rest!
