Post Holiday Blues...

I know I am actually not as worried about it as most kids my PSAT's were amazing and even with no work your SAT's should jump 200 points from the PSAT's. I just don't look forward to the focus it takes to do them or my exams for my school classes

*sigh* As much as the kiddos can drive me crazy, I'm kind of dreading Monday myself. It's been nice not to HAVE to be anywhere. No homework, packing lunches and trying to rush.

Summer vacation is another story....by August, I'm singing the same song as Mahonri's wife!

I have been procrastinating on getting my unit plans ready for the coming months. I am a teacher by choice, but have a homesteader/farmer gene in me. Still, tomorrow I must get real. Once Monday comes, it will be June before I know it.

It has been fun reading the posts on this site, and the SS site. What a nice bunch of people!

I hope its the same for me, and yet, I kinda want everything to just pause for a while. My brother graduates this year and i'm shocked at how much we've grown. I don't wanna grow up! :*(

that almost makes my cry! It can be scary growing up. It is so much fun bein' a kid and being free and just having the best times of your life. summer love, best girlfriends, hangin' around *sigh*

I don't wanna go back to work either. I tool all of Christmas week off and had Thursday and Friday of last week off.

Tommorrow it's back to the grind. The next couple months are going to be insane.

mainchick - childhood is great, but nothing beats the fun of college and young adulthood - those are the days I miss.

Well put my son on the school bus at 7.15am and my daughter has gone back to work after an 11 day break.....house is sooooo quiet.....but my son was kind of looking forward to going back purely to see his friends and play football again for the school team (soccer).....he is so definately not a school person......the house is sooo quiet, so quiet, so quiet.........

My house would be eerily quiet if not for the tv and the dog snoring beside me. My youngest (8) just said to me last night" Mom, I am not ready to go back yet, I need a few more days" in the most serious voice. It was hard not to laugh. I do miss them but I am enjoying having my quiet house back. My college classes start next Monday and I am dreading it. I took 2 online classes, Hist 121 and Eng 101. I am really dreading it because I hate writing papers with a passion. The holidays seemed to pass by in a rush. I wasn't quite ready for Christmas to be over so fast. Oh well.
